Volunteering

“When I moved to Sussex I moved away from all of my friends and family because that's the way my life had taken me and I didn’t have anywhere to go or things to do. When I started at Esteem I made friends that I think will be friends for life. I started to gain experience in the field I wanted to go into through volunteering which has massively helped me get into a career I’m happy with”

I’ve enjoyed that I am part of the community and giving back, I’ve massively improved my confidence and my ability to work as a team, socially interact with others and do practical tasks like delivering presentations.

If you’re thinking about volunteering don’t hesitate. Even if you feel like what you have to offer isn’t enough there is always a place for you.”
