Woodie smiling outside ESTEEM on his last day
Woodie has been a consistent and conscientious member of the team at ESTEEM.
Before he finished his work with us, Tonito sat down to talk to Woodie about his time at ESTEEM. Here’s what he had to say:

What are some of your interests?

I like talking to people—finding out about them and their interests. I also enjoy drawing, even though I’m not the best at it.

What skills have you gained from working at ESTEEM?

I have gained the confidence to talk to people on the phone and learned how to send professional emails. I have also improved my communication skills.

What have been some of your best moments at ESTEEM?

Meeting new people and seeing different people walk through the doors has been great. I’ve also enjoyed being part of the ESTEEM family.

What do you see yourself doing in the future?

I’d like to one day become a receptionist for a well-known company.

What were your usual tasks at ESTEEM?

My usual tasks involved talking to new people and signposting them where they needed to go. So if they needed counselling, I would signpost them there. I would also sign up people for Mentoring and other activities at ESTEEM. I would also sometimes send emails to different organisations for ESTEEM.

How has it been being involved at ESTEEM?

It’s definitely helped me; it’s helped me do lots of things I never thought I’d do. Half of the stuff I never thought I would have done has been through ESTEEM, like going to Greece and going to France. I wouldn’t have met everyone that I’ve met today. If I hadn’t come here, I wouldn’t know what I would be doing with myself.

Emma, the Programme Manager at ESTEEM had this to say about Woodie:

“Woodie is a real people person! He has been great as the welcoming face of ESTEEM and greeting people when they come into the building, answering questions and pointing them in the right direction. He has shown himself to be an extremely reliable and trustworthy member of the team, being a key holder to the building and responsible for opening up and closing down our offices in Shoreham. He is always caring and conscientious in his work” “

If you’re looking to hire a new member of staff Woodie could be a brilliant fit!

Thank you for all the hard work woodie and can’t wait to see you back at ESTEEM again soon.
