ESTEEM Counsellor

As part of ESTEEMs counselling service, you will be providing counselling to young adults who are engaged with ESTEEM services, aged 14-26.

Based at The Old School House, the ESTEEM Counsellor will be required to work with the Wellbeing Manager and Clinical Supervisor to support the young adults accessing support via the wellbeing service and mental health pathways.

Hours: 3 clients a week – 50 min sessions plus write-up time. Days and times of availability will be agreed upon with the Wellbeing Manager

Pay: Qualified & Experienced counsellor working with high level, need CYP (£25/hr)

Interview: January 2022 (date tbc)

Secretary to the Trustee Board (voluntary)

This voluntary role of Secretary to the board of trustees will include duties such as organising and
minuting board meetings and some administrative duties to support the board.The main aim is for
the Secretary to support the Co-chairs and the CO in ensuring the smooth functioning of the board
of trustees.

Based: ESTEEM, Old School House, Ham, Rd, Shoreham-by-sea

Length of Commitment: Minimum 1 year, up to 4 years (then can be reviewed)

Hours Required: Approximately 1-2 hours per week

Rottingdean Whiteway Centre – Part-time Caretaker

Rottingdean Whiteway Centre (RWC) is looking for a part-time caretaker/cleaner to work alongside two other caretakers.

This job involves cleaning the Centre to make ready for the day’s activities. There will be occasional extra weekend or holiday/sickness cover for the other caretakers, which includes the setting out of tables and chairs, and any computer and projection equipment required for the education courses or hirers of the halls.

Hours: Two hours per work day – 06:30 am – 08:30 am, Monday-Friday. Ten hours per week, for 52 weeks a year with four weeks paid holiday.

Pay: £10 per hour

Electric Storm Youth – Administrative Assistant

Hours: 8 per week 

Pay: £10 per hour 

Location: based at the ESY room in the Parish Hall (Lancing) and at home, but may be required to work in a number of locations around Lancing and Sompting.

To support the ESY team with general administrative duties to ensure the smooth running of the charity. This will include working in a team with youth work staff, the shop staff and the Operations Manager.

Angling4Education – Youth Project Leader

Days: 4-5 per week

Pay: £10.50 – £14.50 per hour

Location: Worthing/Chichester

Angling4Education are currently commissioned by over 70 schools and other organisations to deliver highly effective, activity based Alternative Education Provision across Brighton and West Sussex. Activities include, bush-craft/beach-craft, fishing, navigation, art, sport, cooking, animal care etc.

Seeking someone with experience of working with complex children and young people with the relevant training or experience and a genuine passion to achieve the best possible outcomes for some of the most vulnerable members of our community.

This position is 4/5 days a week. You will need a clean driving licence and your own car.

Sessions are generally between the hours of 09:00 – 14:30 Monday to Friday.

MindOut – Counselling Service Assistant 

Hours: Minimum of 14 hours per week

Pay: Full time £25,042, increasing to £27,500 after six months

MindOut is looking for an experienced, proactive counsellor to help run our low-cost community counselling service. You will join the Counselling Services Manager to support a team of 20+ volunteer counsellors, assess new applicants and prepare matches. You will work alongside the general administration team to facilitate the day-to-day running of the service.
